Are special skills needed to operate Quik Drive tools?

Not really. Training can usually be done in less than a minute. As with any tool, there are good and bad operating methods and efficiency will increase with experience. Click to our Troubleshooting Guide to see the more common mistakes and speed your efficiency.

How easy is it to reload?

Just feed (or slide) in a new strip. Most of the rigid strips have a pointed end so there’s no doubt which way they go. There's nothing to loosen, tighten or adjust. Slide the strip into a short channel until you hear it click and continue driving.

Is it necessary to lubricate the Quik Drive Pro series of attachments? What other maintenance does the attachment require?

The Pro series of Quik Drive attachments is manufactured, containing the chemical PTFE (Tetrafluoroethyelene), which is the same chemical used in the manufacture of the trade named product Teflon®. As the Quik Drive attachment is used, PTFE aids in the lubrication of the attachment.

As a regular maintenance procedure for the attachment, we recommend that regular cleaning of the attachment be performed. Normally, blowing a high pressure stream of air on and in the attachment should be sufficient.
